What will I see?

Remove concerns surrounding your pregnancy with our late reassurance scans.

We offer Late Reassurance Scans from 14 weeks gestation onwards. Our Late Reassurance Scan is a 2D scan where we will take multiple measurements of a baby’s growth to make sure everything is keeping within normal parameters.

Scan includes:

Fetal Measurements ( Head Circumference, Abdominal Circumference and Femur Length)

Measure amniotic fluid level

Check the Umbilical Cord and verify the number of vessels

Check placenta location

Estimate fetal heart rate

This scan will also allow you to see your baby and confirm the baby’s heartbeat through our immersive surround sound.

At 14 weeks plus your baby is almost fully formed, which means you should be able to recognise their necks and notice that their head is able to sit up from their chest.
Depending on your baby’s position we should be able to identify its head, feet and arms. Around this time you may also start to see some facial moments which is very exciting.

Your pregnancy journey can be a worrying time, especially for parents who have had difficult pregnancies previously.

In this scan, we can check in on your baby’s heartbeat, size, development and position in the womb to offer reassurance at any stage and make sure everything is keeping within normal parameters.
This scan is not intended to replace your detailed anomaly scan from your maternity hospital.

What can I expect on
the day?

When you arrive at UltraScan you will be greeted by one of our amazing receptionists.

Our receptionist will give you a short form to fill out to collect some basic information like your name, contact details and date of birth.

Once your form is complete, your sonographer will call you into the scan room to begin your ultrasound scan which will last approximately 15 minutes.

Our scan rooms are equipped with large medical-grade LED screens to allow you to see your baby’s heartbeat at your scan.

After your scan you can select your favourite scan images from our touchscreen displays and have them printed on our professional-grade photo printer and emailed or sent via Whatsapp to allow you to immediately share with family and friends.

You will be allowed 3 guests per appointment (including children).

I’ve had reassurance scan, heartbeat scan with teddy bear, gender reveal with cannons and 3D scan. Can honestly not praise them enough, the clinic is spotless and very modern. All the staff are so friendly, Richard and the girls on the desk are so lovely. Richard goes out of his way to ensure you get decent quality scan photos and all staff make the experience memorable ☺️ you get a lot of scan photos and videos and you get a copy sent on WhatsApp too which means you have them to keep forever. I’d honestly prefer the scans here over the maternity hospital, have been more enjoyable.  Would 100% recommend to anyone, well worth the money you pay.
